Preparation of High Bio-Content Polyurethane Coatings from Co-Liquefaction of Cellulosic Biomass and Starch for Controlled Release Fertilizers

چکیده

To manufacture high bio-content degradable polyurethane-coated fertilizer, the co-liquefaction of corn straw and starch was carried out to convert more biomass into bio-polyol so as substitute petroleum-based polyol. The effect ratio on liquefaction behavior mainly investigated by monitoring acid value, hydroxyl rate. Both chemical structures properties bio-polyols their coatings were characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), etc. results indicated that adding a certain amount for could contribute higher content than from sole biomass. Compared molecular weight, value significant index ensure coating quality. incorporation segments led good thermal stability, limited residual small molecules, crosslinking density coating. controlled-release ability coated urea prepared co-liquefied better corn-straw-based bio-polyol, optimal 3:1. Overall, this study provides new route fabricate cost-effective with properties, which benefits solid recycling.
